Here are the decisions/actions taken by me to simulate the Revolutionary War with Tug-of-War:
1) Red, Blue, White teams made up of 10, 8, and 8 kids in each - each group had a different make-up of militia"men"
2) White team was separate, Red/Blue on opposite sides; Red pulled up a slope more
3) If Blue wins, they get a prize, but 1 person would not. White team had to cheer for Blue
4) 1/2 of Red had to go to "yonder" tree; moved white team back to similar "yonder" tree.
5) 1/2 of Red could join once it started.
6) If blue could hold for 30 seconds, they would win. Red team had to pull it past a far away tree (about 20 ft.)
7) White team joins on my whistle.
